If my body was so bored, it should have been working on trimming some fat..

... instead of growing tumors.

Yeah, it sucks. I found a lump in my left breast a week and a half ago and haven't been too thrilled about this new growth that has taken residence. I found it the night before my annual lady exam (hey, I knew they would ask me if I checked for lumps) and sure enough I found something that wasn't supposed to be there.

Initial reaction - I thought I was going to pass out.

I am not sure how I didn't catch it before... it's not like I have a lot to work with up top - so this lump, the size of a lima bean, continues to freak me out.

My doctor said it was a good sign that it was smooth and mobile, but again, it was something that obviously was unwelcomed.

Best case scenario - cyst.

Okay scenario - benign  tumor.

Not so great scenario - pre-cancerous tumor.

Worst scenario - cancer.

Welp, he didn't think I have cancer... but I needed to get it checked out. Mammogram, Ultrasound, and Possible Needle Biopsy. yay. (Who gets mammograms when they are in their 20's?!?!)

Being in a nurse, I am super cued into how providers present their information... so many things can be said with the non verbals. Walking me to the desk to make the new appointments was all right with me. Proceeding to stand behind me and when I was ready to leave telling me that these tests will give us all the information we need to know and that the breast center is a great place .. okay, that unnerved me. Bad news he wasn't telling me? Perhaps...

Or maybe it was my non verbals?  I may have appeared to want to take the check out desk with me as I was gripping it so tightly. Who knows.

Well friends, I had an ultrasound late last week and we eliminated one thing ... unfortunately it was my best scenario...

Best case scenario - cyst.

Although I do have to say that the radiologist believes that it is most likely not cancer (yay?), but we can only confirm that with a biopsy. boo....

That means this lovely think is happening TOMORROW...

Holy Crap!!!! That is going WHERE???

So I wouldn't mind if you guys wanted to say just a few prayers while I try not to do my impression of a cat being put into a bathtub full of water.

Post Operative instructions for tomorrow...  pretty much not moving my left arm and attempting not to do anything that will increase my blood pressure to cause bleeding. (Which means that after reading that sentence, my bp has already become elevated...)

Ugh - We will find out next week... and then hopefully I can stop with this worrying...

Was thinking about how I hadn't read one of your updates in awhile and it looks like you haven't had any... So, even thought it was nearly two months ago - I hope that your biopsy went well and it turned out to be nothing to worry about!!
